About Us

Weekly Outdoor Sketching for Artists

We are a voluntary group of painters who gather together to sketch at a set of locations decided  at the start of each year.

We have a variety of ages and skill levels, but we all share an enjoyment of outdoor painting or sketching.

There is no instruction given within our group, so there are no fees.

Each person selects a view at the site, and puts down their response to that view in their own way, using their own equipment.  Some may produce a new sketch each week, while others may take three weeks, or not even finish in that time.

Members are welcome to put their work in a group display to view during lunch, which is a source of encouragement and new ideas.

The group is supported by RSASA (Royal South Australian Society of Arts) and AAS (Adelaide Art Society).

New members are most welcome.  An interest in trying outdoor painting or sketching is the only requirement to join us.

Visitors to Adelaide are also welcome, but you will need your own equipment.

If you would like to attend, please get in touch, or just roll up on the day!
